Trasporti pubblici a Bangkok! * Public transits to Bangkok!

Avevo smesso di occuparmi del mio blog molti mesi fa parlando, come ultimo argomento, del traffico di Bangkok e ora cerco di riprenderlo, spero di seguirlo con piu' continuita', parlando di come spostarsi a Bangkok con i mezzi pubblici.

La megalopoli Thailandese ha differenti tipi di trasporti che consentono di spostarsi attraverso la sua enorme estensione con costi e tempi di percorrenza molto diversi tra loro e non necessariamente i piu' costosi sono i piu' rapidi.

Sinteticamente ci sono 1 linea di metropolitana (MRT), 2 linee di treni sopraelevate (BTS), innumerevoli linee di bus, diverse linee via acqua la principale e'
sul fiume Chao Phraya ( QUI) mentre un' altra e' sul canale (Khlong) Saen Saep, poi ci sono i taxi con tassapetro, i tuk-tuk (caratteristici tricicli tipo gli Ape della Piaggio Italiani) e i moto-taxi.
Inoltre ci sono 2 linee di treno per l'aeroporto di Suvarnabhumi (Thai Railways) e 4 linee di bus espresso che collegano l'aeroporto con 4 zone di Bangkok (Airport Express: AE1, AE2, AE3, AE4)

I costi per i trasporti collettivi: Metro, ferrovia sopraelevata, battelli e bus variano da pochi Bath a un massimo di ca. 40 Bath (metro e sky train per le tratte piu' lunghe).
I costi per i trasporti individuali sono regolati dal tassametro per i taxi e dalla contrattazione preventiva per i tuk-tuk e i moto taxi.

Di tutti i mezzi di trasporto elencati ce ne sono solo 2 che mi sento di sconsigliare: i bus e i tuktuk.
Per i bus non penso sia difficile capire che spostarsi in una citta'enorme, in gran parte priva di punti di riferimento chiaramente identificabili dove le scritte sono in un alfabeto incomprensibile e dove la gente parla pochissimo altre lingue oltre al Thailandese sia molto complesso.
I bus poi sono in genere affollatissimi, presi nel traffico caotico e pieno di ingorghi di Bangkok.

Per i tuktuk sono consapevole che mi faro dei nemici.
I tuktuk sono simpatici ai turisti, per quel loro nome onomatopeico e, per gli italiani, la loro somiglianza agli Ape della ns infanzia ma...sono presi nel traffico esattamente come i taxi e pero' sono totalmente esposti allo smog (mentre i taxi sono chiusi e con l'aria condizionata); inoltre, se non si e' di statura occidentale media non si vede nulla perche' la vista e' coperta dalla capotte del tuktuk e per vedere qualcosa bisogna fare dei contorcimenti poco dignitosi e scomodissimi.
Il simpatico guidatore di tuktuk cerchera di estorcervi una tariffa altissima; almeno il doppio ma spesso 3 o 4 volte la tariffa normale e in genere anche se sembrera' che abbia capito dove volete andare quasi certamente non lo ha capito.

Quindi in conclusione usate metro, skytrain e battelli per i maggiori spostamenti e taxi a tassametro (partono da 35 bath), se siete piu' di uno, o mototaxi, se siete da solo, per gli spostamenti brevi dalla fermata del mezzo di trasporto scelto alla destinazione finale e viceversa.

I stopped to take care of my blog many months; and the last argument at that it was the Bangkok traffic and now I try to resume it, I hope to follow it better, by speaking about like moving itself to Bangkok with the publics transits.
The Thai mega town has different types of transports; they made a network with different costs and times to travel. The more expensive they are it doesn’t mean they will be the fastest too.

Synthetically there are 1 underground line (MRT), 2 skytrain lines (BTS), hundreds of bus lines, many water buses lines both on the river Chao Phraya ( HERE) while another one is on the (Khlong) Saen Saep channel.
There are taximeter taxi, tuk-tuk and the bike-taxis.
Moreover there are 2 train line4s connected the downtown area with the of Suvarnabhumi airport (Thai Railways) and 4 express buse4s lines that connects the airport with 4 Bangkok areas (Airport Express: AE1, AE2, AE3, AE4)

The costs for the mass transport: underground, skytrain, boats and buses vary from few Bath to a maximum of ca. 40 Bath (underground and sky train for the long trips).
The costs for the individual transports depend if they are regulated by the taximeter as taxis or by preventive dealing for tuk-tuk and motobike taxis.
Of all means of transport I listed there are only 2 which I feel myself to advice against: the buses and the tuktuk.
For the buses task is not difficult to understand that to move around a mega town, in great part lacking in clearly identifiable points of reference and where the written ones are in a understandable alphabet and where most of the people speak only Thai must be very complex. The buses then are generally very crowed, taken in the chaotic and full traffic jam of Bangkok.
For the tuktuk I’m aware that I’ll find many enemies but… Tuktuk they are funny to the tourists but… they are taken in the traffic exactly like the taxis but they are totally exposed to the smog (while the taxis are sluices and with the conditioned air); moreover, medium western stature passenger will have the sight covered by the tuktuk cowling. The tuktuk driver will try to extorting you the highest rate; at least the double quantity but often 3 or 4 times the normal rate.

Therefore in conclusion use underground, skytrain and boats for the greater movements and taxi if you are more people, or motorbike taxi, if you are alone, for the short movements.
